WE LOVE THE HUNTER VALLEY, ITS WINE COUNTRY AND PARTICULARLY OUR SMALL HAMLET OF BROKE, AS IT IS QUIETER THAN POKOLBIN BUT STILL CLOSE ENOUGH TO ACCESS THE WINERIES, RESTAURANTS AND ENTERTAINMENT ON OFFER.

Having both lived and worked in Sydney most of our lives, we value the increasing time we are able now to spend in Broke to watch our grandkids grow up in nearby Singleton and as a base to do a little travelling around Australia.

I would like to thank you. From the moment we walked in the door and unpacked our Christmas goodies we felt right at home. Our stay at Bonn Abbey was made even more enjoyable because the home accommodated all our needs. We had all our family meals at the large dining table and not once were we short of utensils cutlery or crockery The living areas and bedrooms we’re a wonderful surprise and very comfortable and cosy. I will definately be recommending Bonn Abbey to others and am already thinking of the next big family event we need to celebrate so we can get away.

This property was absolutely beautiful! The place was so clean, with amazing views. The house was just an absolute dream, even our two dogs loved running around. Everything about this property was amazing! The cleanliness, the views, the space, just everything. Everything was provided in terms of linen, towels and cutlery etc. The photos dont do this beautiful place justice! We were absolutely stunned. Definitely recommend.

Gorgeous house, great area
We had a delightful stay in this gorgeous house. It had a peaceful rural outlook and the house itself worked wonderfully, full of welcoming rooms, inviting couches, comfortable bedrooms, excellent kitchen. The small wineries within minutes of the house are wonderful too. Highly recommended.

Will definitely be back
The family enjoyed their stay! We had the main house and both studios for 3 separate families and it worked really well. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace and dining room as well as their separate spaces. The stand out for me was waking up both mornings before 6am and watching the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Simply divine!

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Bonn Abbey in the Hunter Valley. This stone cottage is so well appointed, it has a beautiful ambiance with its big open fire , and comfy lounges to sit and chat the night away

Loved it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonn Abbey with our friends. Our two families instantly felt at home in the beautiful surroundings. The layout of the house meant we all felt as if we had space. The children loved their set up upstairs too. The kitchen was very well equiped with a variety of pots, pans and serving dishes. We enjoyed lunches outside at the table and took in the beautiful view. Each night we loved the big wood fire. It's definitely on our list to visit again.

Stunning!
Bonn Abbey is such a beautiful property in a quaint little town in the Hunter Valley. Its location was perfect for my friends and I to explore so many wineries in the area, and even managed to squeeze in a hot air balloon experience! The Abbey itself is stunning, with high ceilings, 2 beautiful bathrooms with tubs and really comfy beds. The loft bedrooms were a real highlight of the property for me, as was the glorious fireplace, made even better with a wine in hand. My friends and I are already looking at booking our next stay at Bonn Abbey, it is truly a wonderful place to stay and we cannot wait to go back!

Great weekend
Perfect home and location for a catch up with 10 friends! We were looking for a comfortable space for 10 long time friends to catch up, relax and easily explore the beautiful hunter valley vineyards and restaurants and Bonn Abbey was perfect.
Location, facilities and comfort spot on. I slept better than home!

Lovely views!
Gorgeous character home with lovely views over the farmland. We had a lovely girls weekend at Bonn Abbey and enjoyed its great location in walking distance of Margan winery and restaurant for a celebratory lunch. Great kitchen, flexible bedroom configurations and everything you need to enjoy a great weekend away.
